Emily Lyall Byrne is an Irish Australian artist and art therapist who lives and works on Dharawal country. She works across print-making, watercolour, paint and clay.

Emily’s work often responds to questions of identity, culture, and place, examining our relationships with different landscapes and how inherited culture, symbols, and stories are carried, translated, and reshaped across generations and geography.

Emily studied fine arts before completing a masters in art therapy, and she currently works clinically in the field. Her work as an art therapist continues to inform her understanding of image-making as a way of processing and holding meaning.
